Dependency between two tasks in Jira Work Management

Julius Liljeberg June 12, 2023

Dear Jira Comuntity,

I am testing Jira Work Management as an admin in a team managed project.
In research I have often seen that two tasks can be linked in the timeline. However, when trying it out, I cannot reproduce this feature. Can you tell me how to create the dependency between two tasks?

1000 thanks and best regards
Julius

Hi @Julius Liljeberg

It is indeed the issue linking. What is the type of the issue link? When you do it from the roadmap view the issue link type is "blocks".

Regards,

Ravi

Hi @Ravi Sagar _Sparxsys_

Thanks for your quick reply!

I am using "Jira Work Management", so I am afraid I don´t have "roadmap" available?! I do have a timeline though.

The issue type in this example is a task. I have the same problem with sub-tasks. On this picture I hovered over the task and it should show the link. It doesn´t -_-

Do you have an idea what the Problem could be?

Thanks in advance Ravi!
Julius
