Why group mentioned inactive when it added to project role

Hello team

I  creae a group (jira-users) , when i give this groupe the customer role in my project , it's mentionned (inactive ).

The user in the group has licence .

Can you please confirm to us what is the Jira version you are using?

As you can see in the link below, there's a bug with Jira application on version 8.6 and above that cause all the groups under users and roles to display as "Inactive":

Jira 8.6.0: All Groups are showing inactive under the Project setting>User and Roles
