Hey,

we have a field XY of the type "URL". We use the field to reference SVN documents. Those documents often contain German umlauts. Trying to insert such a link produces a "not a valid URL" error message. Before creating an improvement issue I wanted to check if anyone has had the same problem...

Cheers Christian

I'm not sure if the that field supports umlauts or not but this characters need to be URL encoded. What database are you using and what charset is it set too?

Custom field yes. Same problem if I paste this link into a comment though... Link breaks right after the umlaut. I'm on JIRA 5.0.7 BTW
