Required field not coming through as required

I have set up my screens for an issue type to have a field visible and have configured the field to be required and assigned a field configuration scheme to the issue type. Now only some of the required fields are coming through on the screen where the other fields are coming through but are not required. Any insight would be amazing.

Hello,

Do you mean that you made fields required and when you create an issue you do not set some of the required fields and the issue is still created?

If so, then have a look at the default values for these fields. If a default value is set, then if the field is empty, the default value will be set.
