Requesting issue comments (updates) from users - ideas please

Kevin Seery September 17, 2018

Hi,

I would like to schedule a email to be sent out to users twice a month that have not updated their issues.

I know you can use a subscription, but the email can't be taliored to add instructions etc.

Looking for ideas on how other people have done this?

We use JIRA 7.11 and have the script runner added on but can't afford any more add-ons...

Many Thanks

Kevin

Hello,

You could use an add-on to do it. For example, you could use the Power Scripts add-on:

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/43318/power-scripts-jira-script-automation?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

You could create a job, which would search for required issues and then send a custom email message.

You can find here how to create a scheduled job:

You can find here how to send mail:

You could also do a subscription off of a filter to send at prescribed times.
