I know it has been asked several times but I can't find a way to make it work. I want to modify the email templates to modify the URL of Jira for users created by Jira administrators. Fact is we have two different URL, one for internal users and another one for external users.
Internal users are connected through LDAP so they don't need the usercreated, forgotpassword, etc emails. So I was looking to override the URL in those emails templates.
For my first need, to modify the templates for the link to set password for new user, I tried to modify a few templates in several location, mainly the usersignup.vm in :
- application-data/jira/customisations/atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes/templates
- application-data/jira/data/templates
- jira/atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes/templates
I also tried directly on the Jira admin interface by downloading the email templates zip file, modifying the templates and reupload the new created zip.
I still have my internal URL.
