Linking Github Pull Requests with Jira

yjkogan February 28, 2013

Currently we host our git repositories on github and have found pull requests to be incredibly helpful. I would like to integrate our pull requests on github with Jira but after about quite a bit of googling around, I haven't been able to figure out how to do this other than by installing Stash somewhere, which I would prefer not to do at this time because my computer is a Mac.

My best guess so far is to create an application link with github, but I'm very unsure how to do that. Any help is appreciated!

Hi there,

Not sure if the DVCS connector would fulfil your requirements as it's able to connect JIRA with the GitHub. If not mistaken, the latest changes will be pull with every sync once the dvcs connector service trigger every hour.

Anyone looking here may be interested in an open source chrome extension I developed to show github pr status inside the jira cards: PR Status

Please give feedback.

DVCS Connector is now deprecated and built into JIRA - under JIRA admin add-ons there is a source control panel on the left hand side that has the DVCS connections for you to set up.
