When I try to activate our purchased license in jira 7.8.0 with the "Manage License" link (http://go.atlassian.com/versions-licenses-manage-licenses), the URL cannot be resolved (I am logged in in my atlassian account).

the URL works if I try it so it’s not the Atlassian site, unless it was a transient error.
are you behind a firewall that is preventing access?
are you server or cloud installation?

tnx for the hint - my bad - my browser tried to take me to the https version of the page and then the redirection at atlassian didn't work out. Tried in another browser and it worked :-).
