JIRA portfolio: Hide Inititative from epic and story schedule view?

Sylvain October 16, 2017

Hi,

I have set up a portoflio with epics and initiative. But there's one problem, on the top left, when I click on "epic" to see only the epics in the scope schedule, I also see the initiative. It does the same when clicking on "stories" when wanting to see only the stories.

When I click on initiative, it only displays the initiative. So I am wondering what I need to do in order to correct that behaviour? Hiding the initiative from the "epic view" and "story view" but keep them in the "Initiative view"

I am using portfolio v2.6.x. and I have set up a custom issue type with the good hierarchy level in jira for portfolio.

Thanks

Ok I found out the reason why:

For initiative:

- I they have story points assign "more than what's in the epic", then they will appear on the lower levels

For Epics:

- I have realized that epics with tasks from two different teams but with one of the team tasks not displayed in the board, then the epic will show up in the story layer when the scope is filtered by team. (Change the team or remove the issues to get it back to normal)
