Is the "Kanban Backlog" labs feature also planned for JIRA Software Server?

gestj February 17, 2016

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: JIRA Software Labs

We would love it as we have many kanban boards, but use JIRA Software Server instead of Cloud...

Thanks + Regards

Yes. Atlassian say they are working on this. It is being tracked by:

 https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSW-15236

From that issue:

Atlassian Update – 6 February 2017

We're actively working towards delivering Kanban Backlog to JIRA Server, and based on your feedback, plan to deliver the first version in one of our upcoming JIRA feature releases. From there, we’ll continue to collect feedback and plan our next steps for future iterations and improvements.

There is a workaround suggested in the comments of https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSW-15236.

Further info

Until Nov 2016, details about this feature were tracked in:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSW-6175

From that issue:

Atlassian Status as at November 2016

The Kanban Backlog feature is now available for JIRA Software Cloud. The release of Kanban Backlog for JIRA Software Server will be tracked at  https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSW-15236 -- please add your votes and comments on that issue and continue to watch it for further updates.
