Is Jira Postgress support behind on BitBucket server ?

ccenvcvb April 12, 2019

On the Bitbucket platforms https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/supported-platforms-776640981.html Postgress 9.4 to 11 is listed as supported.

On the Jira page https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/connecting-jira-applications-to-postgresql-938846851.html only versions 9.4, 9.5 & 9.6 are listed.

I want to add Jira to our Bitbucket server that has Postgress 10.4.

Is Jira really behind or is this page outdated ?

Hi @ccenvcvb ,

Jira has been tested on database version described on those pages, therefore, 9.4, 9.5 and 9.6 are PostgreSQL database supported.

Please, have a look at https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-65910JIRA support for Postgres 10

Kind regards,
Rafael

Thank you for the info, voted for the issue.

We're currently evaluating Jira with a 10$ license, I'd rather not run 2 Postgress versions so I'll start with psql10 hoping that official support will be there soon.

So far it's seems to work, no db related errors in the log file.

Downgrading our bitbucket postgres server or setting up a seperate server just seems like the wrong direction to me.
