We have recently migrated to the new Kanban board in JIRA 6.3. I've noticed that when someone else modifies a ticket, the board view updates automatically on my Chromium / Ubuntu 13.10, but not on my Chrome / Win 7 or Firefox / Ubuntu 14.04. All I get is a pop up in the bottom right prompting me to refresh the page.
What's the mechanism controlling the refresh? I would like automatic refresh enabled across all my platforms.
I just updated my Ubuntu 13.10 to 14.04, and the auto refresh no longer works.
This has been partially implemented in JIRA Agile. So far, the auto refresh is working on the Work mode ( see this feature request ). There is a separate feature request to keep track the progress on the Plan Mode alone.

I am having this exact issue in Work mode. The same agile board is able to auto refresh on some browser/OS combinations but not others. I'm wondering if there's some browser setting I need to tweak to make it work?
