How do I prepopulate "Date Started" with a date from a custom field?
I am using the Log Work field on my Resolve screen in my Jira project. I found that it sets the “Date Started” to the date and time that I click “Done” aka when I am resolving the issue. Preferably I would like this date/time to come from a field I created called “In Progress Status Date”. This field is being set as the Current DateTime when the issue is set to In Progress. I am trying to figure out a way to have that “In Progress date” pull through to the “Date Started” field through a script or something like that, but I am not sure how to accomplish that.
Below is what my Resolve issue screen looks like. The In Progress Status date was set when I changed the status to In Progress. Then when I hit Done I get the screen below. Ultimately I am trying to make it so a user would not have to update the Date Started themselves by copying and pasting the In Progress date, it should auto populate for them.
