Hi, @Anandhakrishnan !

As I know, you can't get/restore deleted issues in Jira.

It depends on you case and 3-rd party app.

Maybe you can use Jira backup for this - How to create a backup for Jira Cloud

Deleted issues are gone, there's no way to report on something that isn't there.

You can take a guess by looking at the holes in project numbers - for example if you see ABC-123, ABC-124, ABC-126 in a project, then ABC-125 has either been deleted or moved.  You should be able to check for moved by searching for it, Jira will redirect you to the new place it has landed.

Hi @Anandhakrishnan ,

By default, Jira does not track deleted issues and deleted issues are lost forever. To prevent it happening again, you can try Restore Deleted Issues Jira app developed by our team.

After you installed this app

  • Both bulk and single issue deletions are logged.
  • You can see when and by whom issues are deleted.
  • You can recover summary, description, comments except attachments.

Hope it helps.

Is it possible to retrieve work logs too?

Thanks

Hi @Sri Kanth

Unfortunately, worklogs are not retrieved at the moment.

Hello,

With the User Activity Audit Log, you can restore deleted issues.

You can check more details in the article as well: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-discussions/How-to-restore-deleted-issues-and-track-audit-logs/m-p/2509087#M21327

You can try the app and if you have any questions and/or suggestions, please let us know via this thread, by opening a ticket on our Service Desk and we can schedule a demo for the application.

Best regards

Nino
