Does anyone have an example of JIRA used as a company suggestion box?

Greg Warner April 29, 2012

Hi,

A couple of months ago I stumbled upon a YouTube video of someone who had done a custom modification that used JIRA for a company ideas suggestion box.

The input field was essentially a very simple google like search box where all that was required was the suggestion summary and description box.

Behind the scenes, the suggestion was logged in JIRA so that those who can do the work, could see the backlog.

Does anyone else use JIRA in this way? Perhaps even with a custom entry page that simplifies the JIRA create screens?

thanks

- Greg

Sounds a little bit like the Issue-Collector: https://plugins.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.jira.collector.plugin.jira-issue-collector-plugin

Our team host several applications and every application has a wiki-page with information in our intranet.
Every Employee can add comments or even feature requests there.

We want to establish a common process with Jira and the issue collector, which means, that every customer dont add a comment or a new wiki-page for that request but rather a Jira-Ticket.
We want to use that plugin because we don't want the users to leave the intranet.

You can completly customize the field so that this could be look like a "suggestion box".

Kind regards
André
