Hi community,
I'm getting this using REST Api v2 while creating and updating JIRA Issues against JIRA Cloud.
I've seen several similar posts however with different allowed limit.
So here are the questions:
Is it possible to alter this limit? If so, how and up to which value?
Is this limit imposed only in REST calls or also directly creating/editing the Issue?
Self Answered while adding a long text directly in the issue, however, no max value is shown.

The property jira.text.field.character.limit controls the limit of characters in Jira applications. To prevent possible performance issues, this property is not editable in Jira Cloud application.
We created the following feature request to allow the option to increase that limit without causing the mentioned performance problems:
Possibility to configure jira.text.field.character.limit in JIRA Cloud as well
