After changing jira base url, dashboard won't load

bmurdoch October 28, 2018

Using jira 7.12.3 build 712004

I migrated to a new domain, my confluence, bitbucket and bamboo servers all work post base url change.

Jira loads the login page when using the new domain, but once username/password is entered, it goes to a grey screen with browser showing the rotating circle (waiting for the page to load - chrome).

If i manually enter a link ie to a project, it will load, but the dashboard won't. I can also access the admin section (by using the /secure/admin/ViewSystemInfo.jspa link)

I am not running a proxy.

I've seen the other posts where people quote the conf/server.xml file, there is no mention to my old domain in that file.

Server is running on ubuntu 18.04.1, with oracle java 1.8.0_181 installed from the bin file, running server version.

never mind all - i'm dumb.

Accessing the site internally, my router required the DNS static record to loop the connection locally.
