how to unlink a linked issue

I have created a linked issue for a service desk ticket. and i need to unlink it

Hi @Jai Vijay ,

You can remove/delete the linked issues from an issue.

  1. Go to an issue that contains links, and locate the Issue Links section.
  2. Hover your mouse over the link you wish to delete, and click the Delete (trashcan) icon that appears.

Thanks for the quick response. I know that was the silliest question, My assumption was it might get deleted permanently but it didn't. Thanks Again. 

This did not work for me, there was no way to delete via the hover or the gear menu. On the Epic and there is no note of a link in the other ticket.
