has anyone successfully integrated AWS SES forwarding to a "ticket generating" Jira Account?

Jira only reads the From header to generate a ticket.  however when AWS AES forwards an email it requires that the From address be a verified address and so therefor will not allow the original sender address to be used.  SES does generate a ReplyTo header with the original sender address.  Is there a way to tel Jira to look at that value for ticket generation?

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Unfortunately, Jira SD Cloud does not allow the "Reply-to" field to be considered as the reporter in the creation of a ticket. We have a feature request created to allow this functionality:

Allow use of "Reply-To" for the Reporter Field 

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

Additionally to the feature request below, automation.io is current developing an integration between AWS SES and Jira Service desk that would achieve what you are looking for. Please, sign-up in the link below to have more details about it and be notified about its beta deployment:
