I got the following use case for the customer portal (JSM, DC) that I cannot find a solution for:
This is not possible with any Apps I have found. All depend on an issue created event to trigger the calculation.
The people I am working with are adamant on the calculation must be shown before the request is submitted. And I can't see that this is possible.
Any ideas / experience with a similar use case?

I have not been able to find a solution in the marketplace. This is something we desperately need in our projects. Also, seems this should be something should be a priority for Atlassian with how much they are pushing Sales and Finance projects, but that's just me.
As of right now, the only workaround that Atlassian has provided, is this article.
I highly recommend to vote for the feature requests in those articles.

In addition to the calculations being shown on the portal before the request is submitted, the calculated value must be used as input for custom fields when the request is created.
I can't find any feature requests that covers this use case.
