Zero remaining hours on subtask not using time.

Mike Ballinger May 14, 2021

I have automation rule that zeros's remaining hours when subtask is transitioned to done.

If user has NOT entered any hours i.e. enabled time tracking for a particular subtask the automation fails.

Is there a way to detect that a field exists?

Hi @Mike Ballinger

Can you share the screenshot of the automation that you have set?

I do not think the automation should actually fail if the value is null.

For you question: Is there a way to detect that a field exists? -> you could add another condition to check whether the field has some entries already.

my bad - looks like time tracking was dropped on the sub task in question after the automation had been implemented.
