Would like to know the difference between Orginal Estimate and Time remaining,

anupa January 25, 2021

Hi,

Appreciate it if I can know the difference between the Original estimate and the Time remaining in JIRA.

With admin access, I am still unable to view all the Team mates Log timing. What could be the reason and How can I resolve it

In case you are referring to a Jira instance without special Apps as for tracking / worklogs then I can confirm that viewing worklogs is not restricted at all. That means everyone can see all worklogs as long as he/she has "Browse Permissions" to the Jira project in question.

Some more information on loggin time on an issue can be found in documentation:
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/log-time-on-an-issue/

Related to that topic is also the complex "estimation on issues" - those information can be found here:

Original estimate (OE) is what you initially scope the work to be. Time remaining = OE - total logged work (unless you manually set the RE at some point when logging work).
