Work Log field not visible on mobile

In my service desk project I've created a new screen for capturing issues.  On this screen I want to have the user capture time when creating an issue via the Log Work field.  Importantly these screens will be in the field using the mobile app on a smartphone.

My problem is that although I can successfully add the Log Work field to the screen that I'm using for creating a new issue, the field only shows in the desktop browser view, it is NOT visible in the mobile (iPhone) view.

Any thoughts as to how to get the Log Work filed to appear when creating a new issue on a mobile phone?
