I am trying to explore and evaluate multiple Asset Management applications to be integrated with Jira Service Desk Server (or cloud).
Based on your experience what is the best one on Market and why?
Thank you @Sandra _Mindville_ for your answer. I have watched the video you shared for insight and I liked what I saw. Unfortunately, this is not what I am experiencing right now with Jira SD and Insight. The interfaces and forms that I see are very different with very minimal features. (e.g no reports)

I see from your screenshot that you are using Jira/Insight Cloud. I should have stated that the videos that I sent you links to are based on the Server version of Insight.
We don't have the reports available yet in Insight for Jira Cloud, but there might be alternatives. I know you are also in communication with my colleague Hakan, and I believe he is helping you out.
The reports will be available later on Insight for Jira Cloud.
Are you looking for a solution that integrates well with Jira Service Desk or a solution that is actually an add-on and directly integrated into Jira?
What are your requirements for the asset management? Are these IT assets and you also need to connect network discovery tools? Are these other types of assets that could be fully managed inside of Jira? Etc.
Have you already tried some of the available add-ons for Jira?
I have already started exploring Insight with Jira Service Desk Cloud and Confluence cloud. I will be moving to the server version eventually since I need HIPAA Compliance which is not availabe on the cloud.
I need a solution that integrates with Jira Service Desk Server and to have an autodiscovery function for the assets with an auto-synchronization feature if possible.
I am also integrating Confluence as a knowledge base in JSD and I need my asset Management to be integrated with Confluence as well.
What are your thoughts?
You definitely have more options for the on-prem version.
For autodiscovery you have different options. Insight has another add-on for this that you can connect with the Insight asset management in Jira. Other asset management apps in the Marketplace don't come with their own discovery solutions but rely on third parties. I am not sure about all of them, I can only speak for our own solution (Assets - Advanced Links). We use database synchronizer tools (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=database+sync) to sync Jira assets with existing discovery solutions, e.g. Microsoft SCCM, as many companies already have discovery tools in place.
So there are different approaches that you can choose.
How should your Confluence integration look like? With JSD you can display Confluence pages/previews in the customer portal during the ticket creation process. How would you need your assets to show up there?
