Dears,
I want to configure validation at certain request creation if the reporter line manager is inactive user or equal ( system )
I already get the line manager information from AD
is there any idea for this
Dears Experts.
Any Idea's please for the above
please provide details on how you are tagging your manager as approver.
in case you are doing object lookup on employee schema, you can add in status as a qualification.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
thanks, Alot for your reply I am using Active Directory Attributes Sync add on to get the line manager from AD for the reporter and I configured line manager (user selection field) to be the approval in the stage called line manager approval, but I have two issues
1- the line manager for the reporter in inactive user (employee resigned)
2- if the reporter line manager in AD is empty i set the line manager value to user called system
now I don't want to allow reporter to open request if his line manager is empty or inactive
-- i didn't get your point (you can add in status as a qualification)
thanks, on advance

so the 1 use case, you can set the approver as system when LM is absent or inactive.
once you set the approver as system, you can modify your workflow to override the approval process to move forward with your request.

thanks a lot for your reply but unfortunate i didn't get your answer
what is need is block both scenarios 1 and 2 from opening the requests until they update their AD account with active LM
