Users dropdown list for assigning a ticket immediately disappears after clicking on it.

Hi There,

 

We upgraded our Data Center deployment of Jira/Jira Service Management this past weekend.  We're on versions: Jira Service Management 4.17.0, and Jira Software 8.17.0.

When clicking on the Assignee field, the dropdown no longer appears, and it instead opens the edit ticket popup screen.  On that screen we can't change it from Unassigned to any other user at all.  The drop-down menu immediately closes when you click on it, and if we try to delete: Unassigned it immediately reverts to Unassigned. 

 

It's only happening on one Jira Service Management project, we've been able to replicate this issue on both our Dev and Prod platforms.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?
