User picker field shows up as text field on service desk portal

Hello Guys,

I have a service desk type project which has a user picker field on one of request form, in general its working fine for all of us, but for some users its showing up as text field.

What could be the possible issue ? The only possible issue I could think of is user permissions we have admin access to the project where as affected users have Service Desk Customers access.

Please suggest if anyone has encounter this problem.

Managed to figure out the problem, it was with customers permission setting. Made the settings as in attached screenshot & all worked out.Portal Setting.JPG

This is such a strange issue, thank you for posting the answer @Vishal , one of our customer was facing similar issue and got it resolved by changing the customer permissions.

I've been experiencing this problem with a few users and came across this post. I changed the customer permissions in our staging environment to what @Vishal suggested, and sure enough, the issue is no longer there. Thank you for sharing your solution, @Vishal
