Use workflow in Service Desk to automatically request more data

Since the Service Desk does not allow Javascript or any other custom fields that are contingent on other fields, could we use the workflows to create more complicated form structures so that requests can be better understood at the beginning. This way more information could be gathered using more specific fields that are requested on forms that are only shown after certain fields are entered in an earlier form?

This would help a lot. I especially would love a way to build a questioning tree, to further ask details from the users and show results where available.
