Hello,
How can we avoid SPAM in Jira Service Desk?
We received 20.000 requests during the weekend.
Thanks in advance!
Laura.
Welcome to the community. In JSM (Data Center on prems env), you can lockdown who can have access to your JSM portal UI (i.e. allowed customers). Are those "SPAM" requests all got created via email submission?
If your are the system admins, then you can access Clogwheel icon's (Administrations) Systems >> Applications >> Jira Service Management >> Email requests and review your "Email Channel" configuration setup to prevent unwanted emails to be processed in your JSM setup. Take a look at this reference link on Managing email chanel - https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicemanagementserver0512/managing-the-email-channel-1306298270.html
In the same "Email requests" section, you can also manage your allowlist - https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicemanagementserver0512/managing-the-allowlist-and-blocklist-1306298274.html
I will be surprised if those mass amount of requests are all created from the portal UI. You may also need to work with your network Exchange team to find out more on the original of those emails requests are coming.
Hope this helps.
Best, Joseph Chung Yin
