I'm on the server version of Jira. My outgoing mail is set to jira@domain.com. I have setup a second service desk. I want customers to the second service desk also to reply on the mails they get and add it to their ticket.
From my understanding it is not possible for the email scraper to look at the subject and see which to what project it belongs to even if the ticketnumber is in it. So if a customer replies to a email notification from the second helpdesk and replies to jira@domain.com a ticket is made in the first helpdesk.
So I setup an second emailadres for a second emailchannel that can scrap tickets for the second project. Let say it is jira2@domain.com and if I mail to this emailadres it scrapes fine. The problem is that if I change the outgoing mail in the project to jira2@domain.com it gets stuck in mailqueue.
The problem is that in the systemwide outgoing mail I can only at one outgoing mail and that is on jira@domain.com.
How do I set this up in Jira without automatic forwarding in my emailserver?
