I recently migrated from a self hosted server over to the cloud based jira. A previous admin had set a whole bunch of permissions in the self hosted version I wasn't aware of. And now I am locked out of projects and unable to change any permissions to some type of default state that would be as if I just started a new cloud service.
Is there anyway or means of resetting things like permissions to factory default so to speak? I'd like to continue using this product but its frustrating that as the main admin I can't even access the projects. Unless from what it seems I upgrade the service to some premium service I dont want or need right now just to manually change the settings back to something that will hopefully work.
Hello @Christopher Hacia welcome to the community. As a quick solution, add the administrator group in the browse project permissions over all the permissions schemes. That would allow you to see all projects.
Afterwards I recommend you to revisit the permission schemes applied to the different projects and make sure those make sense and aren't unnecessarily restrictive. Try to standardize the permissions and use roles to manage them.
