Hello,
We are investigating the possibility of using Jira Service Management in the Data Center version.
We have some questions regarding JIRA mails:
1. can emails be sent as plain text or HTML depending on the user?
2. is it possible to set whether emails are generally sent as plain text or HTML?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Looking through Atlassian's Jira site for Server email issues, I came across these JSDSERVER-1942 and JRASERVER-61187 . Based on that it looks like the current emails are in plain text and the suggestions are to allow Jira to handle the HTML. Feel free to Vote and watch those issues.
The cloud has the capability to set a default of Plain Text vs HTML, and can be set on an individual user basis. I would gather if it's implemented in server it would work the same way, but wouldn't know until it's released.
Hope that helps.
