Roadmaps

E Lin _alittlenooneblog_ February 22, 2024

 I am creating a roadmap: portfolio plan view and I want the Jira ticket to appear in hierarchy order, when I include multiple Kanban boards, it seems that it doesn't appear the initial Jira ticket which it would be the Initiative - epic - user story- tasks and subtasks, this is specific to the workstreams, none of the tickets connect with labels, I am trying to create a  filter that might help me achieve this? Maybe any filters that I can use to adjust my kanban boards?  Is there any examples

It's not dependent on the filter or the board you may use!

You have the hierarchy configuration which would help define how the issues are rendered in Advanced roadmaps

If you don't have Jira admin access, you may have reach out Jira Admin

Documentation to configure the custom hierarchy levels

I don't have the version of Jira.  I have an old version where you need to include filters.

@E Lin _alittlenooneblog_ -

I agreed with what @Pramodh M stated.  First you have to ensure that Advanced Roadmap for Jira configuration on issue hierarchy setup is done correctly.  Second you need to ensure that all of your issues are properly rolled up (i.e. Epics associated (rolled-up) to Initiative via Parent Link field).  The default Epic >> Story >> Subtasks don't change.

Work with your Jira/JSM system admins to conduct your analysis.  NOTE - Advanced Roadmap for JIra is included if your site subscription is Premium or Higher.  Lastly, issue hierarchy is primarily for Jira Software Application project and not typically used for JSM project.

Hope this helps.
