Regarding redirecting to Refined sites

Hi,

I have created a refined site for the Jira service desk, and enabled refined globally but when a Jira service desk user login it is not redirecting to the refined site. How can I redirect service desk users to refined sites?

@Md Imran Ahamed/INTERNATIONAL/BRAC Were you ever able to figure this out? I am running into the same issue and what @Oday Rafeh doesn't seem available to me even though I have top-level administrator rights.

Hi @Md Imran Ahamed/INTERNATIONAL/BRAC , Hope you having a good day

To redirect Jira Service Desk users to the Refined site, you need to make sure that the Refined site is set as the default site for these users.

You can do that by :

Go to the Refined administration in Jira. You can access it by clicking on the "Settings" (gear icon) in the top-right corner and selecting "Refined Configuration" or "Refined Sites, " depending on your Jira version.

In the Refined administration area, find the site you've created for Jira Service Desk.
Click on the "Edit" button for the site.

Go to the "User Access" tab.

In the "Default site for" section, check the box for "Service Desk Customer" or any other user group you want to redirect to this site by default.

Click "Save" to apply the changes.

Once you've updated the default site settings for the Service Desk Customer group, users in that group should be redirected to the Refined site when they log in.

Greetings

Oday

Hi

@Oday Rafeh

Thanks for your feedback.

As I have checked, I am not getting any "User Access" tab while checking the 'Edit' button for the refined site. Can you please share a screenshot for better understanding?

I am getting a 'PERMISSIONS' tab that does not include any "User Access" tab. Check the attached screenshots.

Hi @Md Imran Ahamed/INTERNATIONAL/BRAC

I'm sorry for the confusion. It's possible that the User Access tab is only available in certain versions or editions of Refined for Jira.

In the absence of the User Access tab, you can try the following steps to set the default site for Jira Service Desk users:

Go to the Refined administration area by clicking on the "Settings" (gear icon) in the top-right corner and selecting "Refined Configuration" or "Refined Sites", depending on your Jira version.

Find the site you've created for Jira Service Desk and click on the "Edit" button for the site.

In the site editor, navigate to the "Appearance" tab if you can find it.

Scroll down to the "Default Site for Jira Core and Service Desk users" section.

Check the box for "Service Desk Customers" or any other user group you want to redirect to this site by default.

Click "Save" to apply the changes.

I hope your version to support this and if its not then may you need to try a third-party apps or contact a Jira support
