I am getting Error code 429 - Too many requests in response code when load testing APIs with 70 - 100 concurrent request.
APIs I am using https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/service-desk/rest/
Can this limit be increased some how? If so where and how do we configure this.
Hey Joseph,
This is something we have limited and unfortunately there is no way to change this limit.
So "Too many requests" code is expected with 70-100 concurrent requests.
Hope it helps.
Regards,
Vasily
Thanks @Vasi
Can you also provide answers to following questions.
What is exact limit of request and what is the timeframe for the limit that we are considering that will not lead this "Too many requests".
Are there any changes under any pricing options that offer better limit?
What is the criteria for rate limit. Is it per host or per token?

Hey @Joseph Coleman ,
So this is a bit tricky when it comes to "exact limit".
I think this discussion might help out to clear thing a bit:
https://community.developer.atlassian.com/t/what-are-request-quotas-for-jira-cloud/15907
Basically, we are trying to say that there is no strict limit and it depends on different factor.
Unfortunately I cannot elaborate more here.
Are there any changes under any pricing options that offer better limit?
No, we don't have this in place. Rate limits are the same across all Cloud offers at the moment.
What is the criteria for rate limit. Is it per host or per token?
This is also something we tried to clear in the discussion I linked above.
Let me know if there is anything else you would like to clarify.
Regards,
Vasily
