I have read the documentation HERE where it says to change the Project Sender email and this will set the reply address but this does not work. It will show in the from address correctly but when the user clicks reply it will show the support@jira emaill address that I don't want to use.
Hello Cody,
Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
I've checked the documentation and the correct link where it shows all the steps to change the project email address is not working for me and I saw that your domain is not verified, but I'm also not sure if your support email address is from the same domain, so I would like to confirm if it was verified.
Please, follow the steps of the documentation below in order to change the project email:
- Configuring Jira Cloud to send emails on behalf of your domain
Note that it will only change the email that the notifications are sent. You can also change the email that customers use to create tickets: Receive requests from an email address

Angélica
Angelica, Thank you for your reply. I have verified my domain with Atlassian and configured the necessary DNS updated to be able to send as it. Our service desk can send as a email on our domain and it does show to be from the desired email address. The issue that I have is that if a customer clicks reply then it will set the to address to the default service desk email and not the custom email. It is as if the email template has a setting to set the reply-to address to the default and I cant see a way to change that.

Thank you for the details, Cody.
The configuration only changes the outgoing email, so customers will receive notification from the custom email, but the reply-to won’t change, it will be the default Jira address.
There is a feature request suggesting the ability to change the “Reply-to” address:

Yes it is still the case. 20 year old systems can do this but Jira cannot.
