Hi all,
I am the project manager of our new Jira set up for our maintenance crew and we have a slight issue where they all play funny buggers and assign jobs to one another. I have looked and changed the settings within the permissions so only their supervisors can assign jobs but it is not applying.
Going through the permissions helper it is saying there is the "Simplified Permission Scheme". Where can I find this scheme? Clicking on the link in permission helper just reverts me back to the project settings
Hi Conrad,
next-gen projects don't make use of a distinctive permission scheme. (Default) Permissions are granted by roles. Have a look at the doc:
Overview of permissions in next-gen projects
And maybe think about voting on this issue in the public bug tracker: JSWCLOUD-17159 Ability to manage permissions in next-gen projects
Best, Max
Hey Max,
Thanks for that, bit of a bummer after setting up and learning the next-gen going back seems like a lot more work! I guess we will have to keep harrassing them to stop until we get the feature implemented - Hopefully soon!

Conrad

Hi,
It is located at Jira Administration - Issues - Permission schemes. By the way you can achieve it also by Project Administration - Permissions - Actions (at top right corner) - Edit permissions.

Hi Aleksandr,
Thanks for the response but unfortunately that is for the old gen projects and when I set this up we made it next-gen (didn't realise it was restricted on a few things oops). These steps have been applied but unfortunately did not work so I will have to wait until the permissions editing is implemented in the vote link that Max sent.
Regards,
Conrad

Sorry, I missed 'next-gen' description and answered about old gen projects. I'll also vote for this feature.
