I have lots of request types. One particular one doesn't seem to be sending email notifications, the rest do.
I am the assignee for all the tickets I've tested. I have also tried with other agents as the assignee but still nothing.
I have checked the project Notification settings and the project Customer Notification settings. They are all configured correctly as the users and agents are getting emails from the other request types.
I have set Outgoing Mail log in Administration > System > Troubleshooting and Support > Logging and Profiling and set it to DEBUG
. But no atlassian-jira-outgoing-mail.log exists.

You may check the mail queue if there are items showing then flush it. Go the Admin>>System>>Mail>>Mail Queue
Thanks for the suggestion but there was no mail in the queue for that particular ticket.
