Migrating JIRA SD from 8.8 to 8.22 on new server

We are planning to migrate JIRA SD from 8.8 on old server to 8.22 on new server.

Here's what i have planned.

1. Copy DB dump from old server (MySQL 5.7) to new server (MySQL 8.0).

2. Install JIRA SD 8.22 on new server.

3. restore avatars/attachments on new server.

4. Start JIRA SD 8.22 on new server.

5. Once the app. is up, start Full Re-Indexing.

Will the above setup work smoothly?.

Will JIRA SD 8.22 automatically migrates 8.8 DB snapshot to new schema after it's started ?.

Any help on this is highly appreciated.

These steps are theoretically sound to me.
