I have created a kanban board on Jira for Bug Tracking, and we have linked customer requests/issues from Jira Service Desk. Our aim is that when a bug is fixed, we would like to contact the customers experiencing that particular bug with a specific message. From the "Bug" in Jira, there appears to be no option to send email notifications to all the customers with linked issues. Or please let me know if I missed such a feature/setting.
I could not figure out how to do this easily with automation rules. I imagine the rule should be something like:
IF any issues are linked to Bug 1,
THEN send this specific email notification about the Bug 1 fix.
However, there appears to be no choices in the automation rule settings for me to choose "linked issues" or a specific bug (or I cannot find it). In other words, I am stuck on how to define the "IF" in a narrow way to only capture the linked issues of the one specific bug, since we would have different email notifications depending on the bug.
I appreciate any guidance! Thank you!
This can not be done using the default Automation functionality provided in Jira Cloud.
May be using some marketplace apps can fulfill this needs. I would also like to know if there is any workaround for this.
