×Hello Team,
Could you share the automation rule field to choose for linking a issue( bug) to the epic ?
I am trying to do it as shown in image, but unable to add "jira issue key ".
I observe only two options here -
trigger issue or more recent issue. I need customize field to add issue key.
Hi @shriya

Until we see those...
Are you trying to link the Bug as a child issue to the Epic or use another type of linking?
Kind regards,

Hi Bill,
Thanks for the response.
We are working on implementing CI/CD framework with Jira integration with Github & Xray.
Scenario - Based on test execution status , on failure bug is raised and I need to link it automatically with EPIC/parent/test execution. Jira issue (bug) is raised from Github actions using API.
I am commenting bug number on Jira issue/parent which triggers Jira automation rule to link the bug .
Jira automation rule -
As shown in the above pic, instead of "Trigger issue" or "Mostly recently created issue" I want to add "jira key".
Could you suggest an example on "Link issue action" ?
Thanks,
Shriya
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
When you have a smart value with the key, it may be typed into that field for the Link Issues action. The smart value will appear below the field, and then it may be selected for use.
