Knowledge Base Configuration

Hello Atlassian Community,

Please assist me here, I am working on knowledge base configurations but I am not able to see the options where I can create KB categories as image 1 indicates.

I am linking my KB from an existing space and I do not get the same options as image 1.  What I can see is image 2 below.  Please assist
