Community,
Im looking for the recommended apps for a Kanban Team
Im looking for some simple data points
i.e
Cycle time of a User Story over a 10 days period
Cycle Time of a Bug over a 10 day period
Throughput over a 10 day period
I see some apps but they seem over complicated
Any guidance would be appreciated
Hi @Lee Street,
I am expecting several vendors of time in status apps to jump in to this question soon, but before diving into those, do take a look at the built-in control chart report that comes with your kanban board.
This control chart allows you to check the cycle time across a flexible time frame. By adding quick filters to your board, you can drill into separate issue types and answer the most pressing questions you have, without the need to purchase additional apps.
If you want this information on a dashboard, you may be better of looking at more solid reporting apps (like EazyBI) or an integration with a BI tool you may already have in your organisation. In that case, do consider if this will be your only reporting need that you want to solve of if there's more that Jira out of the box does not provide.
Hope this helps!
Thanks @Walter Buggenhout
Ive checked the Control chart but trying to understand the logic behind it
Thank you!

Hi,
@Lee Street,
Just to be clear what do you want your app to be doing?
For example, I am imagining an app that checks all user stories in a segment (for example open issues) and reports its cycle time (for example how much time it stays in the todo column, and in-progress column)
is it what you want? can you elaborate a little bit?

Hi @Lee Street
How many users do you have on your instance?
I'm asking because there's quite a range of apps which are free for 10 users or less, but less options in higher user tiers.
Your tier will help us clarify which free apps to recommend.
