Hi,
I am using jira service desk to support B2B customers. I would like to enable self-registration from approved email domains. For example, I would like to enable self-registration for all email addresses at xyz.com and abc.com domains.
Is there a way to enable that?
Thanks!
Hi Dima,
The feature to restrict the public sign-up to specific domains it's not available for Jira Service Desk customers.
We have a feature request suggesting the implementation of such ability:
You can try to use the Jira "Site access" feature, but it will create an internal account for your customers.
You can disable the Product access > User defaults, so they won't receive a license to products. Then, on Site access, you can add their domains and save.
They will have to log in on your instance URL (yourinstance.atlassian.net) to create the account and every time they wish to open a request, but as they won't receive product license, they will be redirected to the customer portal.
This option will create their accounts and the administrators will receive a notification that someone created an account, so as your customer portal may be closed to external people, you or other administrators will have to manually add them in the Service Desk project on customers' page, so they will be able to log in and see the forms.
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Angélica
@Angélica Luz, thanks for the workaround, but we would still need to add the customer manually to the list of service desk customers.... is it maybe possible to automate this process somehow? Thanks

Hi Judit,
Using this option they will create their own account, but they won't count on your billing, you just need to make sure to uncheck all "Product access" so they won't be part of any group on your instance.
Admins will have to add them to the project on the customers' list:
Admins will receive an email for every new customer of this specific domain that creates an account on your instance and after that, the access to the project must be given by an admin, there is no automation for that.

Angélica
