Jira reports (server) -- limitations on reporting?

Stacey E. Kimmel-Smith September 29, 2020

We have had JSD for several years and for running reports, I'm frustrated by these seeming limitations:

  • Why do the timescale reports only go back 11 months?
  • Why is there a 1,0000 record limitation on export?

It creates a lot of extra work to have to recreate data in excel for manipulation. Anyone have any workarounds or can point to feature requests that I can +1?

Hi @Stacey E. Kimmel-Smith

The 1000 issue limit is built-in Jira for performance protection purposes. You can read more about that here.

Hello Stacey,

You can try our application, VisualScript for Jira, which has many built-in reports for Jira Service Desk, a lot of standard chart-style and in-context reports, as well as the ability to create custom JavaScript reports.  All reports live inside of Jira dashboard gadgets.

What are a few of your use cases outside of timescale?

Thanks,

Evan - VisualScript Product Manager
