Hi Team,
I created a custom field and named it "Priority" so that I can add it in the request forms. However, when I try to find this custom field under fields-->Custom fields, then it doesn't show up.
Note: This field still shows up when creating a new request form. Strange!
Are you saying you can't see your custom field in the view/edit screen of your issue, or you can't see it under Settings/Issues/CustomFields?
Hi @Suzi Firth
I can't see this field under Settings/Issues/CustomFields. It does appear when I create a request form, but If I specifically want to edit this Custom Field, it doesn't show up under Custom Fields

The priority field is a default field in Jira for everyone, just like reporter, assignee is.
If you have indeed created a custom priority field, then under Field Configurations against your scheme you would see TWO priority fields, but under custom fields you would only see one priority.
For myself, we just use the built in Priority field. So it doesn't show under custom fields, but it does show in my field configuration scheme.
Kind regards,
Suzi

Hi @Swaroop Kumar
Please verify your context settings under Jira Administration > Issues > Custom Fields > Configure (for the problematic custom field). A field is not appearing is due to its Field Configuration settings. A field can be set to Hidden or Visible. Ensure it's not set to hidden .

I could see this under Field Configuration and it is associated with thr Project screens that I use. Also, It is set to be "Visible".
However, when I go to Custom Fields and look up for Priority nothing shows up.

@Swaroop Kumar As Suzi said, The priority field is a default field in Jira for everyone. Please follow the steps suggested by Suzi.
