Did you recently attempt to upgrade Jira and/or Jira Service Desk?   If so, please let us know what versions of both Jira and Service Desk you were on before and after this upgrade.

I found a few related threads that seem to have a similar error message such as https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Desk-questions/Problem-updating-SD-3-6-2-with-JIRA-7-4/qaq-p/631681

And from reviewing these it appears that this kind of error can be generated when you skip too many versions of Jira Service Desk during upgrades.  There is a requirement that all versions of Service Desk must be upgraded through a 3.0.x or 3.1.x version before you can then upgrade them to the latest versions.   For details about this, please see the release notes for Jira Service Desk 3.2.  In order to do this though you will need to first upgrade Jira to 7.0.x or 7.1.x to be able to update Service Desk here.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about this.

Thanks Andrew.

Fixed using solution proposed here:

https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Desk-questions/Jira-Service-Desk-unable-to-create-project/qaq-p/740346

Jira version: 7.8.1

SD version: 3.11.1
