Jira REST API setting Asset field by name

I have JSM on data center and am using the REST API to create an issue. This is working fine. Setting custom fields is working fine. Until I get to the Assets (formerly Insight) fields.

I can set them fine if I do the "customfield_11001": [{"key":"object-id"}].

However, my problem exists that the item that is calling the REST API command to run can't pass the object-id of my assets, it only knows the name.

Is there something else I can use so I can specify the name of my asset object?

I have tried things like value and name, but neither of them appear to work.
