JSM reports - JQL returning wrong request type and cannot save changes

Jonathan Claveau August 12, 2022

Hi all,

we noticed a strange bug in JSM (Jira 8.20.11 with JSM 4.20.11).

Within our JSM, if go to reports and try to edit existing reports filter, the filter is fine but cannot be saved. When trying to save, it's showing the wrong request type.

For exemple (our Jira is in french)

The following JQL works fine when doing a JQL search:

"Type de requête client" = "Azure - Annulation d'abonnement (INFONUAGIQUE_SD)"

But when doing the same filter within the report, the JQL cannot be saved and returns this error;

Error in the JQL query: There are no customer request types that match Azure - Créer/Modifier/Supprimer des groupes d'accès (INFONUAGIQUE_SD). Use the JQL auto suggestions to find the customer request type you're looking for.

As you can see the request type is not even the same as the one we searched....

Only way to workaround this bug is to create a new report, use the same JQL and then it works fine.

Any way to resolve this without having the recreate our bogus reports?

Hope this is clear, hard to explain and we cannot upload pictures since it's blocked by our proxy...

Thanks !

Hi @Jonathan Claveau

Have you try to re-index the project or JIRA ?

Regards

Yes Jira has been fully reindexed and restarted, no changes to this strange behavior.

We will just recreate the queues then, or create a ticket with the support.
