Issue while trying to install Jira Software - "An unexpected error occurred. Refer to the logs"

carlosmartinez89 October 15, 2019

Hi,

I have almost succeeded with the migration of Jira 7.5 to Jira 7.12.1 (which is the maximum version I can install because of the license I have). There's only one thing missing, the Kanban / Agile boards.

Digging around, I found in "Administration -> Versions & licenses" section a button to install Jira Software. And it seems it's what I need due to the explanation I found here https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/How-to-see-kanban-board/qaq-p/718529

However, when I hit the Install button, I receive an "An unexpected error occurred. Refer to the logs" error.

I've tried to read the /var/atlassian/application-data/jira/log/atlassian-jira.log but found nothing I could further take actions with. These are the last lines of it:

Any help with this would be really appreciated.

Whe you upgraded from 7.5 to 7.12.1, what installation file did you use? Did you use a core one or a software one?
